Zakkum - Fish & Chips
« on: February 01, 2011, 16:33:27 PM »
Just to make you all aware - we were charged 10ytl for the special advertised (Every Tuesday, fish & Chips all day) advertised at 7ytl, when we pointed it out, they said the offer is for Wedneday, until I showed the advert from the Land of Lights.  The restaurant was busy with everyone eating Fish & Chips so don't know how this error was made, hopefully a geniune mistake!

Food still very good but check your bills!

As far as I remember their Fish & Chip night has always been Tuesdays. However their Latest advert is very misleading in that it quotes Tuesday as F&C night 7TL... Wednesday as COD fish & chips+Quiz 8TL...Thursday F&C 8TL And  a floating advert for the best Fish & Chips in town at 10TL:(
So it seems they advertise the Wednesday price as 8TL not 10TL anyway:-\

We had the cod & chips last year and it was delicious. We had Christmas 2009 dinner there and it was good. However, we haven't been back to Zakkum since we went for a Sunday lunch there last summer. It was inedible...unidentifyable meat, rock hard roasties and thin gravy.Sorry, but it seems that there is no consistancy in the way the food is cooked at Zakkum.

So before you sit down to eat ask the price first then check the bill. Then pay what they said in the first place.
