Flooding
« on: January 22, 2012, 04:56:33 AM »
Hi All
We have woken early this morning to find the house has been flooded during the night after last night's storms. When we went to bed the water in the garden had receded, so it has been a dramatic increase in the space of a few hours.:(
Those of you living here will obviously be aware of your own situation by now but to those of you with holiday homes in & around the Cicek area of Koca Calis/Ciftlik please get someone to check on them for you during the course of today.
There is also more rain forcast for the coming week-what a winter so far! :( :(

Been told this has been the coldest and wettest winter so far in 10 years.Glad I moved house 2 years ago as the last one's garden was under 1 foot of water every time it rained and needed the wellies every time I ventured out.My heart goes out to those who find their houses underwater, must be heartbreaking to have all your belongings ruined.Good luck baling out.

Every year it's always the worst one for x number of years. I just hope there is no major damage for those who own property.

Does any one know how the Telmessos site is doing. Own a house on there number 71 opposite the drinking water system.

We had these fitted at the start of the winter and so far so good. I've just been told we are dry inside and the pictures I have from today confirm this.
