3 golds in 3 consecutive events. First Jessica Ennis, followed by Greg Rutherford in the long jump & topped off with Mo Farah's 10k. Fantastic night

A truly amazing day for British sport !! (and it 'aint over yet !!); Inspirational role models, let's hope all the youngsters watching these outstanding performances spend less time queueing for X Factor auditions and more time looking for local sports clubs to attend !!, which will hopefully "carry the Flame" into the future   ;)  :)

Sensational  ;D.

Ennis, Farah and Rutherford will make the headlines but for me the performance of the day was the three girls in the Women Team Track Pursuit.

A Gold medal and broke the World Record on six consequective ocassions.

Signed: one of doubters.

We have the Olympics showing inside the restaurant in the evenings and I have been very impressed at the interest and knowledge that many young people have shown about the sports and competitors - we have had quite a crowd on occasions cheering on Team GB.

The BBC World News have also profiled projects from around the UK and I suppose unless you are active in your community or personally involved you wouldn't know it is going on but there is some amazing work taking place with young people.
