The power and knowledge of the forum - wonderful to know help is there and readily given when needed  :)

Good luck with the sale and I hope you will soon both be enjoying better health.

Thanks all for your help & good wishes.
Unfortunately it looks like the person who put the offer in has stalled & doesn't now want to go ahead.

Apparently there is someone else who may be interested but he's offered lower money.

No-one has seen inside the properties so they have no idea how much furniture we do or don't have. As we had to buy the furniture/electricals from our unwelcome tenants I'm wondering if there is any way we could sell it to at least try & raise some extra cash?

Is there anyone who could take photographs of the items you want to sell Linda? You could put them on here to sell them or Facebook buy and sell forum.. You would need a friend over here to show customers the items and take the money of course.. Second hand goods sell well over here but don't expect to get what you paid.. The ideal scenario would be to have a house sale..

There is just no way we can get over there at the present time. I can't leave Carl alone and he can't go over as has too many health problems for them to even quote us for insurance + his health is not totally stable at moment, not to mention he can't walk. To be honest I don't even know if I can get insurance as I have an auto-immune disorder that can turn to cancer so they wouldn't quote me either for US when we went for daughters wedding. They have since cancelled BOTH insurance policies and said they would not even quote us. Haven't taken it further as there is no way at moment we can go anywhere.

I'd happily pay someone a percentage if they'd be prepared to do a house sale for us. I think I put a list on here of some of the items we had to buy from our horrid tenants - they bought & supposedly paid £3K just 2 months previously. We stupidly also bought a new mattress/duvet, hepa vaccuum, we also took over with us a wireless solar house alarm - PMSL when we discovered what we had - bolting the stable door after the horse has bolted comes to mind  :)

Anyone up for a 3 house furniture sale?

Linda, start another thread asking for someone willing to do this on your behalf.
It's worth a shot and I'm not sure you'll get the same coverage on this thread.

I am not sure people will want to take a cut when you are quite obviously in a difficult situation right now. How about, just an idea I shall throw into the thread, one of the charities could arrange a house sale and you could donate say 10% of what they make to their cause. It would help them and it wouldn't feel awkward like it would if it were an individual.

Like I said, just a thought I had  :)

Hi Linda, the 3C's will help as much as we can, providing that we are legally able to do this. Pete is going to FETAV to sort out the legal situation on Monday.  I have sent you a private message

We will really do all we can to help you both and wish you both well
