Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish

Liverpool FC will unveil The Kenny Dalglish stand.

Surely a fitting tribute to a wonderful human being.

Oh and by the way whose football record reads eight league championships, three European Cups, two FA Cups, five League Cups and one UEFA Super Cup for Liverpool.

A true legend H, won the double in his first season as manager.
What would he be worth in today's market?

The wording on the stand says it all for me. What that man did for Liverpool in the aftermath of Hillsborough is simply staggering and has never been adequately recognised in my opinion.

Seriously?  A wonderful human being?

He's a nice enough guy, I'll grant you that, but steady on - he's actually a pretty miserable git, even by his own admission.  His missus (Marina) is lovely, he's not.

Save your sycophancy for someone more deserving (in my opinion of course)

Winner?  Has he ever actually assembled a team?

Edit: apart from '88  :)

All I'll say further is John Barnes.

So I express my total admiration for someone and you think that you have the right to label it sycophancy and in the same sentence try and defend it with “in my opinion of course”.

Perhaps you can give me your opinion of Dalglish’s actions after the Hillsborough disaster and his work for The Marina Dalglish Appeal.

Thereafter, I won’t trouble you or other members on here any more.

No defence, it is my opinion, which I am allowed to express the same as you are allowed to express yours.  Disagreeing with your opinion is also allowed.

Despite all his charitable work, he is still a miserable git.

Heysel?  (Edit: and Hillsborough!) He's not the only person connected to LFC who conducted themselves with a great deal of dignity after such a tragedy.  By singling him out you're doing a disservice to the many players and backroom staff at that club who have had to deal with two major tragedies at football grounds over the years, and (in my opinion) have also behaved empathetically and with dignity, despite an onslaught from certain areas of the popular media.

Thank you for your reply.

In the above quote I note that you didn't add " in my opinion".

But no matter. I'm off and won't trouble you again :(
