All 555 Thomas Cook shops are to be bought by rival Hays Travel in a move that could save up to 2,500 jobs.

This is great news, Hayes travel are an established company and there are still people who prefer to book a holiday at a travel agents so hopefully this will be successful.

I believe they are buying the shops, not the planes & hotels. So they will be selling other airlines flights etc.

looking at their  [ hayes ]  web site search I note they have lots of package and flight only  deals are  with Freebird as the airline seams like someone / company  has blocked booked airport slots and blocked booked freebird planes from various uk airports for next year.
hayes I understand are owned by the hayes family who bought out our local bath travel shops and have at times some very good deals
