The first lot of stuff has gone on Ebay. The Suitcases have been dragged out, the boxes measured for parcels to go. Try as I might to keep my sensible head on (did I have a sensible Head! ) I can't help but be a little excited about our return. I have taken advice from the good people from this forum,Turkish legal advice and friends who live there. At the moment it's OK to go. We have to keep an eye on the situation. Which we are doing. If it changes, then our plans go on hold. In the mean time the clear out begins and the process of what to take and what to leave has begun. There is no better feeling than walking down that ramp at Dalaman airport and I for one, can't wait to be back.

Saying that, I have started early this time and put stuff on Ebay ;D

Good luck this time round. We are 7 months in to our move. Already moved house.
Best tip that saw us through the winter was the use of an electric blanket on the setee

Sue, you are one of the few that haven't read my posts on my first cold winter in Ovacik. Drove this lot to distraction with my moaning thanks for tip though ;D

Good luck for your 2nd attempt .Don't forget to buy Fleece sold by the yard and it is fantastic for keeping the bed warm in the winter and to snuggle under on the couch . No need to hem it and usually two and half metres is enough for a bed and a huge bonus is that it washes and dries so quickly unlike flannelette sheets. Hope all goes well for you and I am sure you will love it .

]Thank you Hubblebubbles. Is that the fleece you get at the market? Will definately be giving it a go. Got pictures of the place through last night and got really excited. I can see I, ll probably need winter curtains. I was reading somewhere if you take your measurements to the material stall at the market, they will make the curtains alot cheaper. Has anyone ever done this and which market did they use. Any idea of costs or recommendations please. 8) ;D

They don't seem to have a very good choice of colours at the market but you will see the fleece in big rolls outside most of the material shops in Fethiye . Last years price was 12 lira a metre and comes in plain colours and patterned . Treat yourself to a fleece "onesie" for lounging around in when it is really cold but not sure if you can but them here as mine came from UK .
-
A fleece onesie ooh I'll look for one thanks HBx
-
Ordered my fleece onesie :)

I LOVE my fleece onesies! Roll on winter!
