As mentioned earlier, the M&S ones are excellent (and 92% pork from memory, way more than more popular brands). They often do them in twos (packs not sausages) on offer and are well worth it. Lidl's premium ones are also very good.

On the subject of meat content, hot dog sausages can be less than 10% pork in some cases. I'm also a chippie sausage fan Bluwise, and I do NOT want to know what they are made with :D

My late fether-in-law was a Butcher and did his own manufacturing. He made various sausages using natural skins,
black puddings, burgers, cooked hocks, cooked and pressed meats ect. I used to help him some Sundays and it was
interesting. Everything had to be good quality.A lot of the bacons and sausages sold now are complete rubbish.
I get some nice bacon and sausage from Water Smith shops. Not cheap but good.

Tesco's (either Butcher's Choice or Finest) Pork, Fennel and honey. Highly recommended.

I mentioned recently that an independent butchers here does fabulous Ayrshire bacon for the same price per kilo that Tesco do their 'standard' bacon.

When the "big" Tesco was opened in Dingwall, the prophets of doom said that the local butcher (and other shops, garages etc) would close within weeks.

No so. Lots of people who tried Tesco's beef, for example, soon went back to our local award winning butcher.

Our Butcher's is the same, has about  4-5 girls serving and there is always a long queue.  Once you get meat from the butcher's the supermarkets just cannot compete IMO.  ;) ;D

When you find cardboard boxes that had contained lamb imported from Zimbabwe
you can just visualise the lush green pastures they grazed on. You get what you pay for.

So, if he had boys serving, the queue would be shorter ?

Certainly.
Boys being far more efficient they would serve quicker, thus reducing the queue.
And some may be prettier. !!             :)

Interesting to hear you like to be served by a pretty boy Kevin. Don't give away too many of your secrets. :D ;D :(
