Don,  My Mother was Storekeeper a Sealand R.A.F. Camp where she met my Father who was an aircraft engineer. They got married had a two day honeymoon in Blackpool and two weeks later my Father was posted to India for 3 1/2 years.  This was, of course, WW2.

Don, my older brother was in Cyprus in the RAF at about that time. He was stationed in Akrotiri (not sure I spelt that correctly) in air traffic control. I was always jealous of him as he had a blast there and I was still at school with several years to go. :(

I was ststioned at Akrotiri on !03 Maintainace Unit, we worked 7am to 1pm Mon to Fri. It was called "Noddy Land" by the rest of the base. I did previous tours in Germany and Singapore but Cyprus was by far th best.

I've been back a few times but you can never turn the clock back.
