DVT-serious stuff!
« on: October 09, 2005, 22:42:03 PM »
After 8 lovely weeks in our little Turkish house we left on 3rd October. Good flight in a jumbo (with good leg room incidentally) but we are still not home.:( We planned to stay in London for the night before driving back but ended up staying in St.Helliers Hospital who gave Pete excellent treatment for a DVT  clot  :o :owhich had migrated into his lung!  Despite the old facade of the building the speed of treatment and attention to medical detail has been excemplary. 7 days on we are hoping for the all clear tomorrow so that we can get back to Norfolk.  Never thought the return journey would be so long!  Its been a stressfull week  to say the least [|)](so my spelling is probably shot to hell,  sorry) but thankfully with a happy ending......... (thankyou whoevers up there!) Needless to say we will "obey" all the recommendations re: DVT and flying in future! Hope everyone in Koca Calis  and Calis areas have  recovered from the flooding and safe journeys home to all.[ :)
