Title: The Tomb in Turkey!
Post by: flightyrachel on January 06, 2015, 12:19:30 PM

The Tomb in Turkey by Simon Brett.

Has anyone else read this book? It's a detective story, part of a very funny series, and it's set in Kaya Koy! I'm hoping you will be able to tell me if he has based any characters on real life expats? :D

It's only had 1 review on Amazon and that's by a critic who received a free copy. It looks as if you have to be a fan of the "Fethering" series of books to be gripped by it.

What did you think of it ? Is it worth the £18.99 they're asking for it ?

Goodness, that's a bit pricey! I borrowed mine from my uncle!  :D I have read all the others in the series and found them really amusing, I don't think I'd pay £20 though! If you can borrow a copy, I think you'd enjoy it though!

(Thought I'd better clarify, although I do hope you didn't think this, that I didn't write it or anything! Nor do I have shares in Simon Brett!)

Hoping it will be a bit cheaper when it gets onto Kindle (not showing yet).
I haven't tried the Fethering series but have an Amazon voucher from Christmas so might give the first one a go in preparation!
