McAfee Security taking up all of screen
« on: March 13, 2014, 15:50:03 PM »

For sometime now when I open McAfee or they notify me that something is suspect it takes up nearly all of the screen.  If I want to block something I have to scroll so far over to the right that the writing on the left disappears.

Resizing is not an option available.

I have just tried taking a screenshot of this but when I tried pasting to here nothing happened.

Marggie. go into your  add ons and disable MacAfee and then it shouldn't show up, you will still be protected but it wont be there all the time.

Sorry Des, had visitors last night so waited until this morning to digest your reply.  I'm not sure what you mean, It is not on the screen all the time and McAfee is my security package.   It is just when it does appear it is so large it is unmanageable.  If I disable add ons what will block suspect or unwanted sites?

Try going into display settings Marggie, click on start, bottom left corner, then control panel, then click on display, you should see smaller, medium and larger, it should be set to smaller 100%.

Right, you got me thinking now Marggie, can you open your mcafee and if so is there boxes top right showing home, settings , and help, you could try settings first, and if no joy try help and see if they can assist you, I admit to being a bit stumped on this one, as I don't use Mcafee, I use Norton 360 Premier, hope this may help.

Hi Des, Yes, I have these three boxes showing home, navigation and help but have already tried them.  Thanks for your time.
