Another load of b@ll@ks, all the ATM's I know are inside a booth, why would you let someone else in the booth in the first place while you are withdrawing money, let alone 2, must have been pretty crowded. And I bet you didn't see it happen, again more hearsay, and more scaremongering.

Did they report it to the police, so they could then put their insurance claim in!!!!!

Its easy to get a pin number off a card folks - there are card readers available on the black market that you swipe the card through and it reads the pin numbers.  I've had a few friends have their pin number stolen by this method in restaruants and service stations here in the UK.  Its why they advise over here that if you are paying in a restaurant, then the server should bring the card payment terminal to the table and not vice versa, and not to let anyone take your card out of your line of vision when paying anywhere.  It really isnt that difficult!

As for the £1000, cant comment on that as most banks set a floor limit of £250 per day.

That depends on the daily limit set by your card issuer.

What a sceptical bunch you all are!

My understanding is that you should contact your bank and get the card cancelled the moment you realise it is missing. Of course this could be hours or days later in some cases. I'd suggest that in this case, the moment that it could be realised was the moment when the bloke grabbed it and ran away with it??!!

Sorry, sign me up for sceptical too :D

On a lighter note maybe they thought the guy was playing "your it" or "tag" when he ran up and grabbed the card, why on earth would he steal their card, come on folks simple mistake lol. :D

Wish I had a £1000 in the bank for them to steal in the first place, they would be lucky to get the daily limit. :-\

This couple obviously do not have kids. lol  ;)
