On the flıp side, going the other way......

I had to send some signed documents to our accountant that HMRC wouldn't accept scans of.
A5-sized envelope, bulky but not heavy. Sent 'signed for' from the PTT at Fethiye Harbour last Friday.
Arrived at their offices Tuesday lunchtime.

I've sent post for less than 30 miles away in the UK that's taken longer......

Post to the UK has never been a problem, everything that we have sent has arrived fairly quickly. Our record time has been 5 days.

It is the post from UK to our home here has become an issue.

Apollo, I see so many posts on FB groups etc asking for people going to the UK to take letters that need posting so I assumed this meant there were problems going that way too.

Really can't understand why now as this was quick and not particularly expensive!

It can be a bit hit-and-miss either way. We had stuff delivered within 3 days but you just can't rely on it. In fact, in the past, we've had more problems with the Royal Mail and Parcel Force than the PTT.
