When does Olu Deniz start to close down for winter pls?
« on: September 24, 2012, 11:20:41 AM »
Arriving for a week next Friday and considering staying in Olu Deniz but  my daughter is concerned that many of the restaurants etc will be starting to close down.  Is this the case already? Advice please and also any recommendations for good quality accommodation in a quiet but accessible area. Just been in hospital so need a restful and comfortable week with a lovely view not to far to walk to sea, shops and good food:-) thanks.

Oludeniz does not close down until the end of October, Airgames on there in October, think from 18th to 22nd. Much of Oludeniz not considered quiet though. Lots of hotels there, have you checked out tour operators websites for accommodation only?

End of October is normally the end of season; maybe a few restaurants will close a little before then but most places hold out for the half term holiday at the end of the month, but this year it seems to run into November in many Local Authorities.

Those coming then may find a lot of places closed because you couldn't even get flights for the beginning of November until a couple of months ago and if there aren't enough people to justify staying open then why bother.

You should find everything well and truly open in Ölüdeniz but rumour has it that a lot of hotels are closing at the end of this month in Çaliş.
