An all day open air Street Craft Fair is being held in the centre of Calis on Sunday 17 May. The fair will take place from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm and the stalls will be sited in the main street of Calis between the Dolphin roundabout (which at the time of writing is still missing) and the Calis water taxi bridge. The road will be closed to normal traffic for this day so visitors will be able to leisurely wander around the stalls and visit the various bars, restaurants and businesses in the street.
It will be a great place to find those special presents as crafts people from as far afield as Marmaris and Patara are coming to sell their wares. Stalls will include jewellery, hand made cards, preserves, paintings, garden ornaments, toys, wooden ornaments, pottery, olive oil, cakes and other hand-crafted items.
