Bonfire night party at Guven's

Keen carnival supporters, Carole and Guven of Guven's Bar in Koca Calis are holding their annual Bonfire Night party on November 5 and will be making a donation from the evening to the Carnival charity, helping needy children in the local area.

Starting at 6 pm, It will be a ticket only event costing 15 TL and tickets are now on sale. There will be a BBQ, bonfire on the beach, Guy Fawkes, live music and entertainment as well as toffee apples, toffee grapes, treacle toffee and the Carnival committee will be holding a Guy Fawkes Raffle. For this one night only Carol and Guven will be adding 1 lira to the price of their reasonably priced drinks and this money will go direct to helping the kids. Anyone know how the bonfire night party went.? We couldn't get there.

Thanks to Carole & Guven & all their staff for making the Bonfire Night Party at Guvens a fantastic night! There was a bonfire on the beach & fireworks, about 60-70 people attended & enjoyed the BBQ, toffee apples & treacle toffee (very good indeed!). The belly dancer & Turkish musician were excellent & got alot of us up dancing-great fun.
The winners of the raffle hamper were Keith & Barb, who had come down from Ovacik for the party & they were delighted with their prize.
it was also Carole's nephew Karl's 21st birthday so there was cake & birthday celebrations (more dancing) too!
Details about the amount raised for the Calis Carnival Charity from this fun event will be posted soon

Sounds brilliant. They really put a lot of hard work in to the event. If they got you up dancing mark then they worked even harder than normal!!

A huge thanks to Guvens who raised 514TL for the carnival charity at their Bonfire Night party. They made 208 TL on the raffle and donated 306 TL from the drinks, BBQ and sale of toffee apples and treacle toffee and Lira for the Guy.  After deducting our cost for items for the raffle hamper we netted 434 TL from the night.  Brilliant!!!!!!   a big, big thanks Carole, Guven and everyone who supported the evening .
