Boxing Day Sponsored Splash

Merry Christmas to you all!
Don't forget it is the annual Calis Childrens Charity Boxing Day Splash today.
12 noon onwards at the Dennis The Menace Bar (former Bambu next to Nil)-it's not too late to enter just come and join in, don't worry if you haven't got any sponsors or fancy dress-the more 'splashers' the merrier & a small donation to this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated!
If you don't fancy getting wet, then just come along to laugh at those who do!!
Dennis will be doing hot soup to keep you warm, but the weather is looking promising so should be a good fun day out for all!

Hi H, I am really sorry for not responding  . Yes I did get your e-mail - but we have been off line for ages as we moved house around the same time as the Xmas Fair in early December and had no internet but are now back on and catching up with outstanding e-mails (of which there are many!) It has all been a bit manic but I will respond by pm

Hi All
A great big Thank You to everyone who came down to Calis seafront yesterday for the Boxing Day Splash.

We had a number of 'splashers', some in fancy dress, including Laurel & Hardy, Tommy Turtle, 'Barmy Army' & Father Christmases! There were very many spectators & of course the Turkish press were there in force too-so look out for the photographs in our local papers & on their websites!

'Laurel & Hardy' aka Eric Robson & Mick Reeves won the prize for best fancy dress.

We raised approximately 900 TL for Calis Childrens Charity (exact figure will be known when all monies are collected)-which included a whip round from the Hash Harriers who normally take part in the Splash but instead did their hash that day in fancy dress!

We are very grateful to Dennis from Dennis The Menace Bar who provided hot soup & bread free of charge to all in his bar & laid on champagne for the 'splashers' too!

I will now try to get some photos on here!

Once again a big thank you to all for making the day a great success.

Well done everyone - we would have joined in if we had been in Calis. Pete put his toe in the snow here in UK but that was toooooo cold to go further

A special thanks to Baz and Kaz of the Fethiye Hash who did the walk in fancy dress to raise 125 TL for our charity
