The popular Calis Christmas Fair and Craft Market takes place this year on Sunday 4 December. The festive event, now in its fifth year, is being held in and outside all the bars and restaurants on Calis seafront.
The Christmas Fair is now an established event in the social calendar of Calis with visitors attending from all over the Mugla area. This years event promises to be bigger than ever with stalls selling all types of Christmas goods, festive fare, crafts, paintings, presents, cards and decorations. There will also be a number of charity stalls raising money for various good causes. The Fair runs from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm and will be a great day out.
Father Christmas will arrive in his "sleigh" at about 1.00 pm accompanied with his elf helpers. He will then take up residence in his grotto, where for a small entrance fee, children will be able to meet him and receive a gift.
As well as an abundance of stalls selling all types of Christmas goods and fare there will be craft stalls selling everything from wooden carvings to wrought iron and stone garden ornaments. There will be Christmas music, tombola, a grand 3C's Charity Christmas raffle with a bumper Christmas hamper as first prize, mulled wine, roast chestnuts and lots of mince pies. It will be a great family day out, an ideal place to pick up Christmas presents and unusual little stocking fillers and a great chance to get into the festive spirit.
All money raised from the stall fees (net of table and tarpaulin hire) along with sales from the 3C's committee stalls will go towards the Calis Children's Charity helping children in the local area.
