For all you daring people out there who want to do something different following the excesses of Christmas Day, why not join the Calis Children's Charity in the annual sponsored "Big Splash" in the sea at Calis on Boxing Day, 26 December.
The Calis Children's Charity hope that the brave "splashers" will seek sponsorship and wear fancy dress for the event - the wackier the better! (although this is optional it makes great fun for the spectators!).
Last years "Splash" was an enormous success and helped to raise a lot of money for the children's charity. It is hoped that there will be even more "splashers" this year so now is the time to start thinking of your costumes. There will be a prize for the best costume.
This years event will take place on the beach opposite the Nil Bar. Assembly will be from 12.00 noon and the Big Splash will take place at 1.00. The Nil Bar will be providing free hot soup for the "splashers".
Sponsorship forms are now available from the 3C's Charity shop at Eyna Restaurant, Calis (open Mondays and Fridays 11.00 - 2.00 pm), from the 3C's Committee stall at the Calis Car Boot Sale on Sunday (20 November) and from the Nil Bar or you can ring 0536 3739520 - and please remember this event is open to everyone whether you live in Calis, Fethiye, Uzumlu, Hisaronu or even UK!
