cat flu at the shelter
« on: November 11, 2011, 10:23:08 AM »
We have a bad bout of cat flu at the shelter which has wiped out most of our kittens and some cats, the place is being disinfected as we speak, as this is highly contagious we are not taking any cats to the shelter til we have the all clear.

We will let you know when we are back in business, I would also urge you not to visit the cattery whilst this is going on.

Thank You.

I hope it gets sorted quickly for AA & the animals involved. Have only ever seen this once, don't wish to repeat it, not nice at all.

So sad to hear this Andy.Think some of the kittens I've seen in Calis recently have the same condition. This disease spreads like wild fire.Hope you manage to get on top of it soon.

I am so happy that I gave the kitten we found to Julie. We were going to take him to the shelter. I would have been heartbroken if he had died. I notice that all the cats and kittens have gone from the Eyna area. One little lad looked very ill when I saw him last. xx
