My name is Mark, I am on the 3cs charity committee. As you may know, every year on 26th December (Boxing day) we have organised the BIG SPLASH where we all get ourselves sponsored, dress up in fancy dress and go for a splash in the sea. There are always a few prizes for best fancy dress & this event has proved very popular indeed.
However, over the past two years there has been less & less people in Calis on Boxing day as more go on holiday over the festive period.
So for the next BIG SPLASH we are moving this event to New Year’s day!
We would also like to get more people involved this year, so we are proposing to change the name to THE ALL CHARITIES NEW YEARS DAY SPLASH and inviting all other charities to join in where supporters of your charity get sponsored, get dressed up, go for a splash and make money for your charity. It is simple & fun!
This is a fantastic day, it’s great fun for those who join in and for the many spectators .Every year the local and national press turn up and the local TV, to see the mad people swimming in the sea at that time of year!
