Very true as said by all maybe my bids raised the bar a little more, next time i will try harder to book my holiday around the auction, as only missed out by a very few lira,s and if was there i would have pushed a bit more for them.

Great result for the total amount though.

Sun lover, is it possible to leave an "open" bid, if such a thing exists, so that you can top any other bid on the night? Just a thought.   :)

An open bid does not exist.  It means no limit and the bidding could go way higher than the person wants to bid and that could mean trouble for the Auction.  No Auction would accept a no limits bid.
Always best, if you really want something to decide on a bid and then just up it a little.  Also, a professional tip, don't leave a round sum bid.
