Sarnic Restaurant - Excellent
« on: July 27, 2012, 15:47:42 PM »
We tried Sarnic Restaurant one lunchtime in May, loved the "Mezes of the Day" that we had, and decided to try it again in an evening.

Well May was a bit too cold when we were there, so we saved the visit until we came again in July.

It is really good.  The location is superb, looked over by a hillside of "Ghost Houses".  It is very authentic with its mosaic floor, old twisted trees, and some wonderful atmospheric music, and the food is excellent as well.

The couple that run it are absolutely charming, very welcoming, most obliging, and they just work so hard.  She speaks very little English but his is quite good.

He is so keen for everything to be right, and for his guests to enjoy the meal and the evening.

It is a bit special, and really worth a visit.  There is a good menu, and it is perhaps only very slightly dearer than most places, but really worth it.

We actually went twice and were delighted with both meals on both occasions, having chosen differently each time.

He does do a transport service, but we went on the Dolmus, and he gave us a lift back, for which we were very grateful.

Our opinion is:  Strongly Recommended.
