A real gentleman and a talented boxer cheated out of the World Title by Angelo Dundee.

A gentleman indeed Eric. Not sure about being cheated out of the World Title but that's not important right now.

World title or not, a legend of the 20th Century and there aren't too many of those. RIP to a great (gentle) man.

RIP Sir Henrey, a legend and a true gent, I first meet him in the 70s always had time for us amateurs, done untold work for charity, but always kept his dignity, when others aroud him lost theirs, a hero of mine, and a very tall man in all senses of the word, god bless you and sleep well Sir H  8) ;)

Sad indeed but what memories he leaves behind for us. A credit in the sometimes dark side of the sport.

I had the honour of meeting Henry at Fulford golf course York. He was playing in a Pro Am game with Ian Woosnam. He kept us entertained walking round the course with stories and the odd joke. A true gentleman. R.I.P. Henry

henry was a inspiratiion to all up and coming boxers, including myself,
had the pleasure to box for trophy he had donated to the forces,
when he served his national service.

Meet him lots of times at work,when we shook hands i could never get over the size of his
  hands,He always had time for a chat and a joke.
