Title: Where to buy net curtains/blinds
Post by: Fieldfare on July 10, 2015, 11:10:13 AM
Hi all

I need to get some new curtains and blinds but don't know where is best to go to where someone can speak English, yes I know that's lame, but I need help with the design as we have a different shaped window.

Thanks in advance

There is a really nice shop heading down from Deliktas, Fethiye, heading past the cemetery towards town (Fethiye) - sorry, can't remember the name!  The chap is very helpful and should be able to help you out

There are several curtain shops on the top road of the one-way system in Fethiye.

Cant quite remember the name of the one we used - think it was  something like "Kalite" - but they were really good.

We had a guy come Fethiye, the one way street, near that bad junction where the domus terminus is.  He brought a pile of samples and we chose what we wanted and he made nets and curtains for all the rooms. We were really pleased with them, he made a lovely job.  Phil has his card somewhere.  Will find it and get back.

The shop that A-M refers to is Aydilek. If you pass the big Migros on the Calis road, go straight over the traffic lights, and it is about half way along the road towards the cemetery, on the left hand side. If you come to the cemetery, you have gone too far! Owner speaks very good English and his prices are good. Big selection also.

Think I must have been having a blond moment, even though I am not blond! Aydilek is in fact on the right hand side of the road if going from the Migros roundabout. Owners name is Hakan, as I said, speaks excellent English. Phone number is 614 2838. He also made me some sheets as one of my mattresses is very deep and I could not find fitted sheets anywhere that would fit. I just measured the length, width and depth of the mattress and he made in a very short time. I have also had curtains made by him, and bought other sheets, towels and flannels. All good quality and reasonably prices.
