Has Anyone had a bathroom fully Re-grouted?
« on: September 21, 2012, 04:48:43 AM »
We moved a few months ago and the tiles in the bathroom are fine by us - good quality even though they are 6 years old - and as we have only been looking at them for 3 months - we quite like them   :)

The grout though (on the walls more so than the floor) is looking tired and I wondered if anyone could recommend a tiler to do this who has actually had it done? I really don't want to do it myself.

If so could you tell me roughly how long did it take - did it cause a lot of mess and finally what did it cost?

Ian   :)

Might be worth speaking to Bayram, one of his brothers is a very good tiler, so may be able to help

I have never had a full bathroom regrouted. I prefer to use tiles for the majority of it.

I only chose this option because it's cheaper without the tiles  :D

Cleaned our groutng with the stuff they clean kettles with. Its a bit like caustic soda, it bubbles up, wipe if off and its white.
It will all need re-grouting eventually, but its a quick fix for really dirty areas. Its magic!
