Brooms

Do the street cleaners in Calis and Fethiye use real broom for their brooms? I know they used to in Mugla and carried spare plants in the back of their carts so when the old one wore they could have a new broom to sweep clean.

I think the guys in Hisaronu are still using real broom, and their "dustpans" are 20 litre plastic containers, cut
corner to corner with a handle attached. Brilliant bit of recycling.     :)
