The two things I miss are a choice of cheeses and the dawn chorus, there are never enough birds in the sky.

I am generally an early riser both here and on holiday. One of the most beautiful sounds that always makes my heart soar when I hear it, is the distant sound of the "call to prayer". Nothing sounds so exotic and says "different" to me as I am padding about our room/villa with everyone else asleep, than this sound. Even now its memory stirs me.It is definately this that I miss the most when at home.

I can honestly say I don't miss anything while we're over there, probably because our longest visit is always just two weeks

When I am in Calis I do miss cheap, nasty sliced bread for 'real' bacon sandwiches. There are a few other things I miss too that I can remember.
