Barbella
« on: August 15, 2012, 21:31:46 PM »
Just returned from Calis beach, havent been there for four years, still a lovely place to go.  This time we took our 15 year old son and his friend.... THEY found Barbella restaurant whilst looking for somewhere that would give them a good full english breakfast.  Fantastic food, fantastic chilled atmosphere and they (when we were not around) made sure the teenagers were ok without us.  Just sorry we were not on hols longer to try more of their food.  The mushroom fettucine I had was the BEST EVER.... Thanks Barbella xxx

We went there one night as my son wanted to play on the play station took just under two hours to get our meal and people where  getting up and leaving as they got fed up with the wait, the food when it arrived was one of the worst meals i had in the 3 weeks there, and i will not be going back   again, i recon Barbella is  not going to survive as i see the same thing happen in there when we ate next door in the meeting point a few nights later !!!!

That really surprises me Danky as we ate there in June/July and it really was one of our favourite meals - wonder if there has been a change of chef/staff?

Yes I admit the food did take a while to turn up, but it was lovely when it did.

Consistency is a big problem here with the restaurants. The Meeting point will never change their chef as he is Ahmeds brother and Cassa De Mammas is also consistently good. We have seen so many come and go. I hope this isnt another one.

we went in June, the restaurant was fairly busy and we had to wait about 1hr 30mins to 2 hours for our meal and was not really impressed.
