Have the person who owns the book(s) email them to you. When you get the email, providing that the format of the books are epub(the file name ends with .epub) then simply connect your Nook to your computer with the supplied cable then go back to the email, click on the file and choose 'Save As' and save it to the Nook. That's it.
If they are not ePub format then you will need to convert them with some free software such as Calibre and then save them to your Nook
