I know what you mean they do sometimes crop up but i've never seen this many in one go. Its really annoying [:(!][:(!]

I think this is spam . Unfortunatly Scunner or his band of merry men cant sit watching threads as and when they come through. It's quite obvious they are dodgy so the best thing is dont open them and they will be removed in due course.

I've been on sick all week with a viral infection coupled with a painful bad abcess on my gum which the dentist has made ten times more painful this morning.! Sat here feeling sorry for myself and being crabby. Think I'll get out the dyson, polish, dishclothes etc and turn my frustration into something positive and then have a lie down !

They are all usually deleted and removed before you guys get a chance to see them around 6.30 in the morning just before i go out to earn a crust

As I mentioned in a previous thread, it is not always possible to prevent these things happening, it is an automated 'attack' and the first we know of it is when it appears. We (the admin/mod team) normally are on (at least one of us) and they are deleted quickly, but today we all had other things to do. This is rare, and we are one down till Tinkerman gets back.
Ultimately CBF will have to move to a new forum style, as we are simply too big for what we have now and there are too many problems such as these automated spam posts, posts locking themselves etc. and there is no known fix for them. When we move, you'll all be complaining at us because the way of posting etc will be slightly different, but we'll talk you through it ;)
I'm sorry I can only administer CBF on a part time basis, if I could do more than 18 hours a day I would :D

Sorry I've been at work today but I did get rid of a couple of the thnigs before I went out.
We'll keep plugging away at them and try and get rid - before anyone opens them if possible.

I have the job of deleting the member as well, I can spend up to 20 minutes every day on these posts and members - I have better ways to spend my time than that :(
Usually, as Stoop says, we delete them very quickly. So quickly in fact that I often go to delete one and it won't let me, because someone already has.

Sorry been off all weekend and only just noted your reply. You poor thing i've had abcesses before and they are so painful i'd rather give birth!!![xx(] I hope you are feeling better now :)
