Gosh, I didn't know about this thread until just now. So sorry.

Thank you very much everyone for all the good wishes.

As it happens I had an awesome birthday - a surprise bash arranged by the wonderful slikmrs and my daughter Riana no less! Riana told me she had booked a table for just the four of us at Adanalı Hasan Kolcuoğlu restaurant. We turned up to be greeted by slikmrs, her husband Martyn their friends and family and our good friend Kadir. Our friends Benyamin and his wife Pearl and their daughter Klarise were there too with Pearl's family.

I really had no idea this was going to happen and will never trust slikmrs and my daughter again.

Gorgeous birthday cake from slikmrs and slik and beautiful presents from Pearl, Benyamin and Klarise. I had a handmade necklace and ring no less from Klarise!

Thank you to WordBird for her card and to angela and Kev Sowten for their very personalised card - I will get revenge!

An impeccable feast and service from the restaurant as per usual - thank you Theo and team.
