I'm sure that i have read somewhere that all foreshore is owned by the government and access should be free albeit there can be charges for sunbeds, parasols etc by prior agreement with the Beledye.

Is this the place with a museum and an animal farm that is famous for it's Turkish breakfasts? Is it open all year round?

No Linda that is Kargi museum. Follow the stream round. Yes it is open all year round.

can you get a dolmus to the beach with the water slide out past Letoonia?

Yes you can catch the Tasyaka- Karagozler dolmus and they go round the penninsular on which the water slide is situated.
