Anne - your 15 year old niece may find the Ovacik water park more fun. My teen sons definitely find the Calis one a little dull in comparison.

I agree - the water park in Calis is more geared up for the younger kids.  My teenage daughters were a bit bored there last time we went.  They spent more time sunbathing than on the slides.  We'll have to try the one in Ovacik if its better for older kids.   :)

Steve, when we were over last Summer, the Calis Beach Restaurant was still advertising free tickets for the water park with every full meal.  Six of us had a meal (total bill of about 160 lira including drinks) and they would only give us two free tickets for the kids.  They reckon the rules had changed!  We put up a bit of a fight as the only reason we had gone there in the first place was for the free tickets to the water park, as advertised outside!  :(  Ask (before you buy meals there) what you need to spend to get free tickets.  I know we will before we eat there again.   :-\

Just looked at the water park in Ovacik.  It looks great!  Can you just go there and use the facilities (at a cost, obviously!) or do you have to stay at the hotel?  It doesn't give a price for the use of the water park only.   :)

You can pay just to go to the water park, it is quite expensive, about 25-30 lira for an adult
There is also a poolside restaurant,

Dave. In the "lessons section" of the Surf Centre link, the guy shown with the tutor in the right hand photo is one of my neighbours at Violet. He has been wind surfing for 15 to 20 years. After about five weeks and over 500 quids worth of lessons he is now just able to surf propelled by the kite 8). If you can't windsurf yet then don't hold your breath:D:D He tried to persuade me to have a go but I can not take long exposure to sun with seawater on me:(. Otherwise who knows [?]
