Hi! would calis be suitable for my holiday?
« on: November 14, 2009, 18:15:59 PM »
hi everyone,
im a new member so sorry if this is in my wrong place!
me and my boyfriend would like to go on holiday next year to the med, we are aged 18 and 19.
never been on holiday without the parents before so first question is calis a safe area?
secondly we would like to go somewhere that isnt full of tourists/lager louts, etc... but still has ample amenities and is suitable for a holiday ie not a remote village. would calis be okay?
third and final question we are not planning on hiring a car so is there enough (safe) transport to take us to other places, we dont want to be stuck on the resort the whole time.

thankyou for any info!!
allie xx

Hi Allie,

Calis will be perfect for you both 8) 8), there aren't any lager louts out here but there are tourists:D and yes it is very safe, just dont do anything that you wouldnt do at home like wandering around the backstreets at night on your own.

The Buses are a great way to get around, very regular, cheap and safe and will take you as far as you want to go, there are also plenty of taxis for short rides home after a great night out.

Andy

Fethiye is as Turkish as you will get for a resort town, Calis is a small holidaymaker town just outside of Fethiye and most shops and bars are aimed at tourists same as all the surrounding little towns and areas.
