There is no evidence of that, in fact it isn't the case at all. If it were, I'd applaud it. Why certain people think Calis beer prices should be rock bottom because it's where they live is laughable. The volume and frequency of such protests on here surely shows how centrally essential this product is to their entire lives.

Keith has got the right idea. I think the best way to ensure that Calis Beach is maintained free of broken bottles and cigarette butts etc is for the local bars to charge more for Efes, and pass on their extra earnings to the powers that be to fund the cleaning of the beach. Maybe £8 a pint should do it.
The upshot would be an immaculate beach next year.
The reason would be, of course, that absolutely no - one would pollute the beach at all.
Because absolutely no - one would come to Calis Beach at all. And all the local businesses would go broke.
If that is what is wanted, so be it.

Farmer, your no.1 desire for your life in Turkey is that the beer is cheap. I do get it!

Keith. You presume too much.
Would I be wrong in assuming that when you were engaged in selling properties here that you fully explained to the potential purchasers that you were selling them properties in an area where the beaches were scruffy, and that you would happily recommend that the price  of their drinking and dining out should at least double in the next two years.
Or was it just caveat emptor, and you retire after making a quick buck?.

The first thing I did on collecting customers from their hotel was to drive them not to properties, not to an office, but to the back of the Harem, out of the car, round the front and on to the prom. I didn't suggest that the price of eating and dining out should at least double in the next two years. I was selling houses (very well too might I add), not the East Med correspondent for The Economist.

Finally, I am about as far from retirement as is possible, and long may that last. I couldn't stand the major issues you are all facing over the price of your beer.

Not every person living here is concerned about how much an efes costs...more than you would think don't actually give a flying fig.  We are not all beer guzzling knob heads.[:o)]

Don't worry Jan, CBF makes it perfectly clear who moved there for the culture and healthy lifestyle and which ones chose it for the cheap fags and lager :D
