The Embrace charity is based at Dennis the Menace bar on Calis front (ex Bambu) if you go over the wooden bridge turn right it is about 80m they are there Wednesday morning. If you can not get Wednesday call my mobile I will pick them up from you and make sure Mavis gets them. 0539 4941329

I dropped 10 pairs off at the Chemist in Fethiye when I was over in May. I have to say that I don't think that any of the staff who were in there had a clue about what I was trying to do, even with my very best Turkglish I couldn't make myself understood. Eventually the old guy took them off me with a nod of his head and a quick thank-you but I got the feeling that he was just trying to get rid of me before I frightened off the other customers.

I hope they eventually found their way to the right people  :)

I fear probably not Steve. I would always ask people to give their spectacles to Mavis at Embrace as Mark says. They always get to the people who need them. She and her team have the right contacts. They have been doing this for a long time.

Thsnks - can you add that advice to the thread about spectacles (link above)so that othersmay be warned. I know of other people who have dropped glasses off at this Chemist - he's proably doing a roaring trade in second hand specs!

Mavis is still at Embrace, every Wednesday between 11am-1pm at Dennis The Menace on Calis seafront, I'm sure she would be delighted to receive any spare spectacles as well as anything suitable for the second hand stall to resell on.

Mavis is 1 of the nicest people you'll ever meet in Calis, Embrace does some amazing work with little or no "pomp & circumstance" the other bigger charities use for their marketing, long may Embrace continue to help others.
