May visit Calis for first time in 2015

Hi everybody, I'm Angiebabe (although an ageing Angiebabe!!) and have not yet visited Turkey.  Hubby and I have friends who come to Calis every year and have done for at least the last 12 years, and as we're getting on a bit now (70 and 72), we decided it was time for us to give it a try.  It certainly looks and sounds like a fab place to come.   Any advice or recommendations for a pair of ageing kids??!!

Well first things first, welcome to Calis Beach Forum.

I think May is the best month of all - especially for a first ever visit - should be warm, not hot like August, fresh and there's loads to do and see

Fantastic place and for a first time visit, I too would suggest May.  Beautiful scenery, great restaurants. plenty of shops and nice and flat, so no problems if you have any problems walking.  However go this year, don't leave it until 2015.  Also the exchange rate is very good for tourists at the moment and compared to EU destinations it is excellent value.  Come and enjoy.

Turkey is such a beautiful country and we love the Fethiye area, I think it is a great choice for your first visit to Turkey, lots to see and do,  beautiful scenery , you really can't go too far wrong choosing Calis for your holiday, though avoid July and August as it gets so hot. Sue xx
