Ada Restaurant Sovalye Island
« on: June 19, 2014, 10:20:23 AM »
Having read many great reviews of the Ada Restaurant on Sovalye Island, we are keen to visit.

Where exactly does the ferry boat collect from and how often / at what time?.

Any info much appreciated, thanks.  ;D

There's a couple of small jetties just by the Şat Beach Restaurant. It's one of them - can't remember which one, but they're close to each other so no issue. They'll pick you up and drop you back basically upon demand or appointment.

P.S. The Ada on Şövalye is also a "beach club". It's a small beach and swimming area with sunbeds and parasols with the restaurant overlooking it. It's very relaxing - just the loudish buzzing of the insects (cicadas?). Definitely worth staying for a few hours at least - as well as going to the restaurant.

Hi, I'd never heard of this place but just looked at the website and it looks very nice, are children welcome there?  We have a 1-year old so would need a high chair.

The Ada is fine for children (mine were 11 & 6 last year). However, there is another hotel on Şövalye (Ece) which doesn't allow children (this was the place we were originally heading for). I don't know about highchairs but I'd be surprised if they don't have them.

If you ring and book (you can email, but best to ring).  They will pick you up at the time you specify. It's the first jetty before the Sat. We booked for 7.30 and we got a taxi down there and the boat was waiting for us.  Got the same taxi to pick us up when we where leaving the Ada.
if you have a child you can go over on a Sunday (or any day) for breakfast and spend the day on their beach.
