Is there a sunday market in calis, and a bit more....
« on: September 29, 2015, 11:20:36 AM »
Hello, i heard somewhere that there is a sunday market in Calis?
If this is so, whereabouts is it?
Also- is kakoa calis just down past main Caalis beach?
I have read some stuff about it here and on trip advisor, sounds lovely....

Also- where can a twelve year old hang out to meet some new friends??

Anybody know a good dinghy sailing club in fethyie or calis area for aforementioned 12 year old? Contact details or any info would be fab.....

Im sure the mods will shift the right questions to the right bits if ive posted in the wrong place....

Thanks in anticipation, and i promise to just ask one thing at a time in future......

The market's under the red balloon.

On Sunday, a lot of the dolmuses in the area divert from their normal route to go past the market. That's the easiest way to get to it (I get up early and walk from Koca Calis, attempting to lose the calories from the previous night's beer consumption)

My understanding of where Koca  ("Kojak" without the last k) Calis is sort of just past the end of the prom or whereabout Guven's restaurant is.

Having a 13 year old and an 8 year old myself, I'd say the best place for meeting others is in the hotel swimming pool, on a boat trip or at a water slide park or Bubble Sea Park.

If you have moved here, as opposed to living here, pop into Guvens and ask about the children's clubs that are run from there, I think one is for older children.

Sunday Market very good , have a trip there going up from the Main Street away from the prom, take thee second roundabout an turn  right and just go along the road, market is on the left.  Also a good Bakery on the right called Babafikin (Daddy's Bakery) Koca Calis just at the end of the prom Take your 12 year old to the Aqua Park in Calis an also on a trip on the Calis to Fethiye Water Taxi.

Sorry John, it is Baba Firin Daddy's Bakery.  We visit it nearly every day we are here.  I made a spelling mistake, but Baba is Turkish for Daddy.
