Hello. A friend wants to rent one of those mobility looking scooters for a week but has been told her driving licence does not cover her. What type of licence does she need?

Couple of bike shops on Baris Manco that hire them. As far as I know you do not need a driving licence . They are electric

Brucat. I thought that but my friend was told she can't rent one without scooter licence. Perhaps she mentioned the word scooter on the phone and there was a misunderstanding.

You do not need a licence in UK unless they go above 8mph which most don't.My mother brings hers with her every year, free of charge as she is disabled and it's obviously a necessary mobility aid.We also bring her manual wheelchair in case we wish to go further afield
