£50.00 Notes

Hello all. Quick question regarding the exchange of £50 notes to TL in Calis. Generally accepted or Prefer smaller denominations?

in my experience your far better with smaller denominations, I had one refused for car hire back in June this year

Never had a problem changing 50s, but if they are torn or have
writing  on,the bank wont change them. that's for all notes.

You're lucky if you can get £50 notes from your bank.  I asked for them last year when I need a largish amount (£800 not thousands!)  and I was told I could only have £20s or order £50s which would take a week.

We always take them and have had no problems changing them.

We always only take £50 notes and never had a problem changing them in our bank over there, we have also changed them in the change office in Calis

I have more of a problem in getting 20 and 10 lira notes when I change
