Rhodes
« on: August 24, 2019, 15:23:30 PM »
Looking at booking the Rhodes trip next week. Few questions if I may: Is it worth it? Best place to book? Been quoted £35 by most agents in Çalış. Is it a choppy journey if so I would prefer to take a sickness tablet, which one is recommended and where would I buy? Would I need Euros before going or can we use bank card?
TIA

It is definitety worth to go. It will be more comfortable if you stay one night at least.
You can have a look https://www.tilostravel.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4r3M9OWb5AIVFaWaCh3c8Aw_EAAYASAAEgLNifD_BwE  for the tickets. It is the website of the company itself, their office is near Mc Donalds.
It may or may not be choppy journey depending on wind. I used www.windy.com for wind forecast and got correct forecasts.
My wife used some tablets, I dont remember the name but can tell you later. Take euros with you. Most of the shops and restaurants accept credit cards. Turkish citizens must have Schengen visa.

If you're not a great sailor, the catamaran, operated by Tlos travel, is a better option than the hydrofoil. I love Rhodes & go each summer for a few days, but cheap it ain't; expect to pay IRO 12 - 15 euros for a fairly basic main course, such as souvlaki, in a reasonable restaurant.
