Before someone gets killed, can I PLEASE ask those on holiday to realise that the roads that lead off the main roads are for CARS for the broad bit in the middle.

Families walking 5 or 6 abreast on their way back from the beach, from the side to the middle of the road are everywhere, and from what I see, sooner or later someone IS going to be killed.

I can get to within a metre of most before they even realise I am behind them - good job I'm not checking my hair in the mirror or I'd need my bonnet valeted.

Keep your brain going, please, at least till you get home safely!

:)At last, what would be common sense here is ignored there because of the lack of kerbs,I dont know, but in June we saw alot of this and thought the same thing.

It reminds me of the time I hit a holidaying scouser. It wasn't till they scraped him off the tarmac and put him in the ambulance that I realised all my wheel trims had gone.

Talk about relaxing on holiday - people who haven't a care in the world, walking home from the beach carrying their inflatables up the road. Take it from me, a Nissan X-Trail up the ring has gotta hurt  ;)

Sorry, I can only do one serious post a month.

Another reminder is to always walk on the left hand side and facing oncoming traffic. At least you should see them if they don't see you [:(!].
Slightly off tack but I've just fitted lights to my push bike for similar reasons  :).
