"Embrace" charity mornings.
« on: December 07, 2009, 17:20:17 PM »
Our latest project....We have been informed that the eyesight testing for the children will begin in January. The teachers will identify the children with eyesight problems and  these will be targeted first and of course spectacles supplied to those in need of them. We aim to cover as large an area as we can to include villages in the surrounding areas. Please keep donations coming  of any unwanted items that we can sell at our Wednesday morning sales at the Bambu restaurant Calis. We are also now appealing for any unwanted spectacles you may no longer have use for. Prescription glasses or otherwise. These will be taken to the villages where the older generation can decide for themselves which glasses enable them to see more clearly.I will arrange several "drop off" points  and will publish these as soon as possible. In the meantime if you have any spare spectacles please bring them to the charity sale between 11am and 1pm any wednesday or indeed leave them at the Bus Stop restaurant . Many thanks

Carol thank you  and no August will not be too late as we intend to keep  this as  an on going appeal so if you can ask any friends neighbours etc for any unwanted spectacles we would be most grateful.
