Green Parakeet

Has anyone lost a green ringnecked parakeet? I saw one flying around the area behind the old Azda supermarket on the Migros/Calis road on fri 23rd april. It was there most of the afternoon and evening on that day.

They are everywhere in the wild so a good chance nobody has lost it.

We thought we heard one in the trees opposite Cafe Pazar a couple of days ago.

We saw lots of them in the Park next to the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul.  Our Hotel was opposite the Park and we would sit out on the balcony and watch them flying from tree to tree.  Would be really nice to see them in Calis.

Don't know if they're the same type of parakeet, but green parakeets are all over London now. There are so many they have even changed the law so you can shoot them in your own garden now. They eat so much fruit / berries etc, and cause so much damage to trees, that all the native birds are declining in numbers.
