5 Star Hotel Coming To Calis

Well,

its started.... A note from out management team at Sunset Beach Club accompanied by photos of bulldozers and rocks.

Next to the complex, the marshy area has been filled up for the new hotels construction. They started to fill the whole area last week and next week they will finish the job. The area is completely filled up with rocks and stones. Next year they will start building the hotel.

So. watch out all of you - all those mossies that used to live in the marsh will be looking for a new home right now !

Ian

Was down there yesterday, the boundary walls are already going in. Apparently they are expecting to open early in 2013

Do you have any pictures of the location as I am struggling to imagine it between Sunset and the Surf Cafe. In didn't think there was enough land there and it certainly isn't boggy. The other side of Sunset is though - the land going up to Seaside.

The road is now in line with the road in front of Sunset with the boundary wall under construction now, with the turn towards Koca Calis by the entrance to the Surf Club.
The plot goes all the way back alongside Sunset, not sure how far back it is going though, the picture gives some idea of the size of the plot available.

Cheers Baz - I see where you mean now. I must say I am surprised as it is quite tight there what with the hill at the top of the picture and Sunset below. I also never had that area down as particularly boggy (maybe that's why they are using it) as most of the standing water is on the other side of Seaside.

On the bright side - at least the dolmus might come nearer to Koca  :)

Can I buy shares in the Surf Cafe ;)

I understand that they are also moving the dolmus station to behind the Surf Cafe and there is planning permission for a second 5 star hotel down there but in the future. They willcertainly have to up the inferstructure and get rid of the gypsys on the beach
