a few questions after our recent holiday

Well I had 2 good laughs at pronunciations this week (just back this morning from Calis, review to follow). I paid a surprise visit to a couple of my friends who were in apartments in Ovacik. He talks very politely and he informed me that the owner of the complex was going to take them to "Fet-aye-eeee" to look at the shops!!! He even pronounced it with the gaps between the syllable. Also in a restaurant in Hisaronu, the lady at the table behind me wanted to order a salad. She couldn't remember what it was called but it had Fethiye cheese in it!!!! PMSL @ both incidents.
Ah ye cannae beat the Brits.....what they don't know, they'll make up. :D

I work in the wonderful world of freight forwarding and one day I got a call from a customer wanting for a rate to send 1 pallet from Birmingham to Eastern Bull in Turkey.

My dad calls it Instantbul,
every time he says this the wife replies with 'just add water'. ;)
