As far as I know, Calis ends at the  water taxi bridge.

So where are we?  As all our utility bills say Calis.    ;)

Seriously, unless something drastic has changed, there is no area known as Calis, just the beach strip.

Weve stayed at all these hotels mentioned and our first choice if not going all in would defo be the Delta for the modernness of the hotel, the Blackberry aka Tirayaki we also love again for its moderness...
Jiva is our top one for all in...
We were booked a few years back for Remer and had to stay at Rosary Beach instead but had to go back to Remer to eat, the Remer was at that an allin both hotels equally bad as each other, i know some folk will say ooh we loved Rosary, Remer each to their own, cheap nasty food and drink at Remer, cats trying to climb on the tables when ur eating, anyone who knows me knows i adore cats but even i draw the line at them climbing on my table and being amongst food...I have heard the Remer has had a makeover so could now be nice, wouldn't want to risk going back there, Rosary beach never again horrible little grumpy man who shook his fist because i dared to go down to reception and ask for an extra pillow, horrible depressing bathroom which is a danger....another fav of ours is the Nevada (su) these tired old hotels no longer do anything for us...

I have stayed at the Nevada for the last couple of years and it suits me well. It is modern, clean and the staff are very pleasant and helpful.
Lovely rooms, good bathrooms, nice pool area. Wifi and small kettle in room.
It is a pleasant length of walk to the seafront.
I book B&B - personally I prefer to eat out for variety - the breakfast is fine and plentiful.
(It also has a spa which I have not used but friends have and reported it good).
